When I was younger, I was the kid who brought dessert to school every day. That meant I had a daily decision to make at lunchtime. Do I cut my dessert into 8 pieces and share it with my pals, who are all politely asking “oh, might I have a piece?” one by one?

Like, the child next to you JUST requested, and now I’m supposed to split this thing in half?!

Or. I could shrug and say “sorry,” then have my dessert alone, but I’d feel strangely bad.

Please, please, please tell me this isn’t familiar.

Aaaanywho. Rice Krispie Treats were one of those sweets that I would never, ever share. To my buddies, Rice Krispies signified a hard “No.” This was all my fault.

So today I’m adding funfetti to the original Rice Krispie Treats. They’re all mine, too.

They come together in 2 seconds and are both blended and covered with white chocolate for a special touch.

Ingredients

  • 2 tblsp butter (salted)
  • 1 jar marshmallow fluff (7.5 oz)
  • rice krispies cereal, 4–5 cups
  • 2 tbsp rainbow sprinkles (plus extra for sprinkling)
  • a third of a cup of white chocolate chips (split)

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×9 pan with butter after lining it with parchment paper. Remove from the equation.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the fluff with a spatula until it is heated.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large mixing dish, combine rice krispies cereal and water. When the fluff mixture is hot, pour it over the cereal and gently toss to blend. At the very end, fold in the rainbow sprinkles and 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and press down to form the treats into the pan’s shape.
  5. Microwave the remaining white chocolate on low for 15 seconds. If necessary, stir and reheat in the microwave. Drizzle the glaze over the goodies, then top with a few more sprinkles.
  6. Allow to cool completely before slicing into 16 squares. Enjoy!
