Instructions for making the greatest cheesecake brownies

With just a few adjustments, cream cheese brownies elevate plain ol’ brownies to the next level! The recipe is simple, but if you follow these three guidelines, you’ll have amazing cheesecake brownies!

  • High-quality cocoa powder and chocolate should be used: Your brownies will be made or broken by the quality of your chocolate. In the spirit of delicious brownies, now is the time to indulge on the good stuff!
  • Make sure all of the cheesecake ingredients are at room temperature: ALL INGREDIENTS MUST BE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE WHEN MAKING CHEESECAKE, according to the first rule. Please excuse my ranting, but this is critical. The mixture will not blend together if the cream cheese and eggs are not at room temperature, and you will wind up with clumpy cheesecake.
  • Don’t overbake the cheesecake brownies: Overbaking causes the cheesecake brownies to become leathery and dry. Two words I don’t want to be associated with my cream cheese brownies. You’ll be OK if you remove the brownies when the cheesecake is still a bit shaky.

What is the best way to cut flawless brownies?

Brownies, oh brownies. They’re simple to make, but infamously difficult to serve. I’m sure you understand what I’m talking about. Brownies are so moist and fudgy that if you use a conventional oil knife to cut them, the crumb tends to adhere to the sides of the knife, resulting in ragged, untidy edges. For flawless cutting, we have two options:

  1. Use a heated knife: Between each cut, run a thin, sharp knife under hot water and wipe it clean to avoid any sticking!
  2. Use a plastic knife: Plastic knives have a polish that makes brownies repellent. Wipe the knife clean between cutting if any cheesecake or brownie sticks to it!

in order to make brownies

  • 1 pound of butter
  • 1 cup sugar (granulated)
  • 1 yolk + 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9 × 9 pan on both sides with parchment paper. Remove from the equation.
  2. First, make the cheesecake layer. All of the cheesecake components should be blended in a stand mixer with with the paddle attachment, which should take around 2 minutes. Don’t beat yourself up too much. Remove from the equation.
  3. Make the brownie layer next. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Remove the dish from the microwave and mix in the sugar. Microwave for a further 30 seconds. Stir once more and melt for another 60 seconds. The sugar and butter should gently bubble but not burn. This period of time should enough.
  4. Remove the mixture from the microwave and whisk in the bittersweet chocolate to thoroughly melt it. If the chocolate still isn’t entirely melted, microwave it for another 15 seconds.
  5. Combine the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla essence in a mixing bowl. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until everything is well blended.
  6. Half of the brownie batter should be removed and placed in a separate bowl. To thin down the batter, mix together two teaspoons of water and 1/2 cup of batter. The brownie swirl will be created as a result of this.
  7. Pour the rest of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out evenly. Over the brownie layer, pour the cheesecake batter. Drop the leftover thinned-out brownie batter on top of the cheesecake and swirl it around with a knife. Don’t overswirl the mixture. Large, distinct swirls of cheesecake and brownie are desired.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the middle of the brownies comes out largely clean. Allow it cool entirely before refrigerating for an hour to allow the cheesecake to firm up. Cut into 9 big squares or 16 smaller brownies when ready to serve!
