Peanut butter cup cookies are what they sound like.

Our all-time favorite cookies are these salty-sweet chewy chocolate chip cookies. They’re the site’s most popular recipe, and for good reason. They have a gooey core that remains soft for days and are crispy on the edges and chewy in the centre. While a classic is always a nice choice, stuffing a baked good with another dessert is never a terrible idea. What’s not to enjoy, right?

Easy Reese’s Cookie Ingredients

To create these luscious peanut butter chocolate bombs, you’ll need all of the ingredients for conventional chocolate chip cookies plus Reese’s peanut butter cups.

  • Unsalted Butter: Using unsalted butter allows you to manage the quantity of salt that goes into your cookies while also ensuring equal browning. As the basis for your cookies, you’ll brown the butter for a nutty, toasted taste. Sugar: Always use a combination of brown and white sugar when making chocolate chip cookies.
  • Eggs: Your cookies will be held together with eggs. These cookies have a soft, chewy, not too cakey texture thanks to a single egg and one egg yolk.
  • Vanilla Extract: For the greatest results, choose a high-quality PURE vanilla extract. I’m often asked whether you can create cookies without vanilla extract, and I’m afraid it’s a make-or-break ingredient!
  • Our favorite flour for these delicious cookies is all-purpose flour. It produces a delicate yet filling crumb. Make sure you measure your flour properly with a spoon to aerate the flour!
  • Chocolate Chips: Because these peanut butter cup cookies include a full candy in the centre, the quality of your chocolate chips isn’t as critical. Any chocolate chips will do–or use chopped up Reese’s instead if you’re feeling especially peanut buttery!
  • Salt: Baked foods need the use of salt. They’re simply cloyingly sweet without it. Salt gives baked goods the ideal salty-sweet taste that elevates them from decent to exceptional.
  • Reese’s Cups: Make sure you’re using regular Reese’s cups, not the tiny ones, which are higher and have a smaller diameter!

How to get the greatest results filled chocolate chip cookies from Reese’s

These handmade chocolate chip cookies are simple to prepare, but following these three guidelines will ensure that you get flawless cookies every time!

  • Freeze Reese’s: Reese’s are created with milk chocolate, which contains a lot of sugar! Pre-freezing the Reese’s helped them remain intact in the centre of the cookie and avoid melting into the cookie batter.
  • Refrigerate the dough: This chocolate cookie’s taste will intensify if you leave it in the fridge for at least an hour before baking! For best results, bake the cookies the day before, form the peanut butter cup loaded dough balls, and chill them overnight!
  • Don’t overbake: In fact, if you’re unsure, UNDERbake. As the cookies cool, they will continue to bake. Plus, no one ever complained about the middle being mushy.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • a quarter cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 room temperature egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp extract de vanille
  • 1 3/4 cup flour (all-purpose)
  • a quarter teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt + a pinch of salt for sprinkling
  • 1 1/4 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet
  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (12 pcs.)

Instructions

  1. While you’re making the cookie dough, unwrap the Reese’s cups and store them in the freezer. This will aid in maintaining their form and preventing them from dissolving into the cookies!
  2. Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large mixing basin. Mix everything together until it’s smooth. Combine the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla essence in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate basin. Combine the dry and wet components and stir until everything is well combined. Fold in the chocolate until it is evenly distributed. Don’t overmix the ingredients.
  4. To make cookie dough balls, use a 2 ounce cookie scoop. Place an entire Reese’s cup in the middle of the ball and flatten it out with your hand. Roll the cookie dough back into a round ball after folding it up around the Reese’s to fully cover it. Refrigerate the cookie dough balls for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper when you’re ready to bake the cookies. On the prepared baking sheet, space the cookies 2 inches apart. Bake for 12 minutes*, or until the rims are golden brown but the centers are still gooey.
  6. Allow to cool completely before eating.

Notes

  1. If you want the cookies to be flat on the outside and appear like ordinary chocolate chip cookies, use the typical flat, circular Reese’s peanut butter cups instead of the minis!
  2. Because every oven is different, keep an eye on your cookies. We suggest pulling them out as soon as they’ve swelled up and started to get golden brown around the edges. The middles of the cookies should still be uncooked. If you leave them in any longer, they will not have the gooey center you want.

Reese’s Cookies are a popular American brand of peanut butter and chocolate sandwich cookies. They have been around since 1928. The cookie is available in many different flavors, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin. Reference: reese’s cookies calories.
