They’re produced by pounding all of the ingredients into a sweet chocolaty truffle dough in a food processor. Traditional OREO truffles are prepared with cream cheese and OREO cookies, but we kicked them up a notch with the addition of peanut butter. And boy, oh boy, do they deliver.

They’re the sort of simple dessert that gets devoured in a matter of seconds and leaves everyone at the party begging for the recipe, which is the greatest kind of dish. Plus, if you put them in an airtight container, they’ll last for a long time in the fridge. As a result, you may ration them for many weeks. Heheh.

Ingredients

  • 30 OREO gluten-free cookies
  • 12 c. p. p. p. p. p.
  • 6 oz. room temperature cream cheese
  • a third of a cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon extract de vanille
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 bag (12 oz.) dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tblsp. virgin coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Pulse the OREO cookies in a food processor until they resemble a fine powder. Cream together cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a mixing bowl. Pulse the mixture until it is completely homogenous. Don’t overmix the ingredients.
  2. Take a rounded spoonful of truffle and roll it into a ball in your palm. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes after placing on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe dish in 20 second increments until completely melted.
  4. Scoop each truffle with a big fork, similar to a spatula, and dip into the molten chocolate. If any additional chocolate spills back into the dish, tap the fork lightly against the edge of the bowl. Return each truffle to the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle with melted peanut butter and top with crumbled OREO cookies, if preferred. Return to the fridge for another 30 minutes or until completely stiffened.
  6. Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks in an airtight container!
