The market for food photography is booming and this class will show you how to take your shots from the camera on your phone all the way through a professional studio. All of these skills are essential for anyone working in the field, especially if they want to make their passion into a career!
The “food photography” class is a course that teaches you how to take professional-looking food photos. It’s completely free, and it’s back!
Bromiesssssssssssssssssssss Today I’m bringing you a post that’s a bit different from the norm. It’s not really a recipe. It is, after all, simply a figurative recipe.
In addition to this site, I also manage Foodtography School, an online food photography school. It all began in 2017, when I decided to take a chance and hold a free lesson on improving your food photography. Surprisingly, almost 1,200 food photographers registered.
It was fantastic! So I kept hosting these free workshops, and they sort of grew popular over time, if I do say so myself. Over 30,000 people signed up for the workshop I’m going to tell you about today the last time I presented it.
So, what exactly is this free, live class about? It’s called How to Turn Your Food Photos Into a Thriving Business, and it details how I developed a successful seven-figure food photography business from the bottom up, as well as how you can do the same. I go through the following:
-
- An inside peek at my seven-figure food photography company (and how to get started on a shoestring budget!).
- There are six ways for taking beautiful food shots.
- My editing tips and strategies for making your photographs seem more unified.
- How to use Instagram’s algorithm to your advantage and stand out on social media.
- My exclusive tips for persuading businesses to want to collaborate with you
- When you attend live and remain to the finish, you will get the official Foodtography School Brand Pitch Guide (a $29 value).
But first, let’s take a step back… heh? Food photography is a company that earns money?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes While I began my blog in 2010 as a creative outlet with no idea of converting it into a company, I resigned my job in the food industry in 2014 and chose to do just that. I set myself two months to make my blog “a thing” (i.e., earn money), and if I didn’t see any progress during that time, I’d look for a “real” job.
Fortunately, I was able to witness that progress, which provided me the confidence and motivation I needed to keep going. I had earned $30,000 in my first year of working full-time on my blog. I earned $80,000 in my second year. Last year, the total was $419,268.
So, you’re probably thinking, “OK, but how is that even possible?” And that, my friends, is precisely what I’ll be discussing in this master class.
Working as a food photographer and blogger is a complete unicorn job, and it’s much too nice not to share with the rest of the world.
So, if you’ve read this far and are thinking, “Yeah, I need to know more,” you should certainly sign up for the class next week. On Tuesday, September 14th, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, I’ll be holding two sessions. Both will be free, live sessions in which I will instruct you in real time. It’s going to be AMAZINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Brownies and love, Sarah
PS- Want to join up but can’t seem to get it to work? Don’t be concerned! If you sign up anyhow, our system will email you a replay link so you may watch at your leisure.
