Marble cupcakes with mocha icing

Marble cupcakes with mocha icing are a new take on the traditional marble cake. These cakes have been around for years, but now you can make them more exciting by adding coffee to your favorite vanilla batter.

Marble cupcakes are a delicious treat. They are made by using brown sugar, cocoa powder, butter, flour and eggs. The recipe is simple to make and easy to follow.

I baked these cupcakes with the kids I babysit this week. We had a lot of fun swirling the chocolate and vanilla together, discussing the differences between baking soda and baking powder (fail. ), and eating a lot of batter. These cupcakes, on the other hand, are a great recipe to bake with kids since they are fast and simple to make and add a little something extra to otherwise boring chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. It’s like eating your chocolate cake and your vanilla cake at the same time… lol.

To make the cake:

3 cups flour (all-purpose)

a quarter cup of sugar

2 tablespoons powdered baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 stick plus 1 tablespoon softened unsalted butter

1 1/2 quarts of milk

3 eggs

1 tbsp extract de vanille

2 melted semisweet chocolate bars

To make the icing:

3 1/4 CUP CONFECTIONER’S SUCTIONER’S SUCTIONER’S

1 1/2 sticks softened unsalted butter

1-2 tablespoons espresso, brewed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing basin. Combine butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla essence in a smaller mixing bowl. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until everything is well combined.

Using a knife, cut the mixture in half. Half of the mixture should be melted chocolate, which should be stirred in until well mixed.

Cupcake wrappers should be used to line a cupcake pan. Spoon the regular (non-chocolatey) half of the mixture into the cupcake pans using an ice cream scoop. Then pour the chocolate batter on top of it. To make the mixture swirly, poke it with a knife through each individual mold. Don’t be scared to move the knife around a lot–overmixing the two batters is more difficult than you may imagine.

Cook for 20 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the cupcakes comes out clean.

Meanwhile, beat butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla together in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Once the cupcakes have cooled, ice them!
