Ingredients

  • 2–2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar (granulated)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Fleischmann’s® RapidRiseTM Yeast, 1 packet
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 1 tablespoon oil with a neutral taste, such as maize oil
  • 8 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz. blue cheese crumbles
  • 12 CUP ONIONS CARAMELIZED (about 4 onions)
  • 1 cup roasted butternut squash cubes with thyme as a garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 500°F and place the pizza stone inside.
  2. Combine 2 cups bread flour, sugar, salt, and Fleischmann’s® RapidRiseTM Yeast in a large mixing basin.
  3. In the middle of the dry ingredients, make a well and pour in the heated water. Mix everything together with your hands until it forms a dough. The dough will be sticky at first, but after you knead it, it will come together!
  4. Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a floured surface, or until the texture begins to smooth out. If the dough is too sticky to deal with, add the remaining 14 cup flour a spoonful at a time until it is dry enough to handle. Make a ball out of the dough and set it in an oiled basin. Cover loosely with a dish towel and let aside for 10 minutes to rise in a warm area.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the corn oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes while the dough is rising. Remove from the equation.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a clean work surface after ten minutes. We like to do this on parchment paper since it’s easier to clean up and carry. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle. Brush the garlic corn oil mixture on the dough from the center to the crust using a pastry brush.
  7. Top with caramelized onions, roasted squash, and crumbled blue cheese before serving. Remove the pizza stone from the oven with care and carefully put the pizza on the heated stone. Bake for 10 minutes, turning halfway through. When the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling, remove it from the oven.
  8. Allow 10 minutes for the pizza to cool before cutting and serving.
