Dip with Creamy Goat Cheese

An quick Christmas appetizer is one of my favorite things. Don’t get me wrong: my favorite portion of the dinner is still dessert (obviously), but the appetizer course is a close second. Appetizers set the tone for the remainder of your dinner, yet they are often overlooked. Who doesn’t like a good app? Appetizers like cheeseboards, queso, and goat cheese dip are my favorite since they give me an excuse to consume a lot of cheese.

And this creamy goat cheese dip may be my all-time favorite cheesy snack. It’s also the ideal sort of dish since it’s very simple, comes together quickly with just a few ingredients, and looks delectable. While the holidays may be a bit different this year, you can guarantee I’ll be cooking this creamy goat cheese dip for Thanksgiving and all of our other holiday gatherings.

What are the ingredients for this baked goat cheese dip?

To make this delicious Christmas snack, you’ll only need four ingredients (yes, four). And when you’re working with a small number of components, it’s critical to utilize high-quality ones. Vermont Creamery steps in to help.

Vermont Creamery is one of my most seasoned (and favorite) collaborators. You can guarantee that as a recipe creator, I go through a lot of dairy products, and in the dairy aisle, I ALWAYS go for Vermont Creamery. Nothing beats the creamy, tangy goat cheese, silky smooth butters, and buttery cheeses they make. I’m completely smitten.

This goat cheese dip is really excellent, courtesy to Vermont Creamery. What you’ll need is the following:

  • Vermont Creamery Original Goat Cheese: You haven’t lived until you’ve had this goat cheese. In this goat cheese dip, it’s creamy, tangy, and melts to perfection. If you want to spice up this dish, Vermont Creamery provides a few other flavor options!
  • Many other goat cheese dips call for cream cheese, but Vermont Creamery Crème Fraîche is so much lighter and creamier. You’ll only need half of an 8-ounce jar, but I’m certain you’ll find a purpose for the remaining 4 ounces. It gives a delightful smoothness to homemade ice creams, soups, mashed potatoes, and frostings, and it works well in both savory and sweet dishes. You’re going to adore it.
  • Parmesan Cheese: I like to sprinkle a little grated parmesan cheese on top of this cheese dip. It has a nutty, buttery flavor and melts well.
  • Olive Oil: A drizzle of olive oil is all you’ll need to make your goat cheese dip extra creamy. For optimum results, we suggest using extra virgin olive oil in a dark container!

This goat cheese dip is a wonderfully simple and straightforward snack to prepare, but these three techniques will make it even easier:

  • Using a food processor or blender can make your life a lot simpler! You can create this dip with only a fork or a hand mixer, but a high-powered blender or food processor will make it much smoother and creamier.

With goat cheese dip, what should you serve?

Now comes the exciting part. The possibilities are limitless. Some of my favorite combinations are:

  • Blistering tomatoes: I like serving this goat cheese dip with blistered tomatoes. They give a splash of color and flavor to the table. Toss some cherry tomatoes with olive oil and salt and roast them till they burst in the oven or in a sauce pan. It will seem to be gourmet, yet it is extremely simple.
  • Bread: To make the ideal dipping vessel, cut up a crusty baguette or artisanal loaf of bread, brush it with olive oil, and toast it.
  • Crackers: Crackers, like bread, are the ideal carbohydrate partner for a cheese dip. Get a range of items so customers may pick and choose what they want!
  • Carrots, celery, cucumbers, and peppers are all light, crunchy vegetables that go well with this creamy dip.
  • Pretzels: On their own, I like a salty, crispy pretzel. But when you serve it with this delectable goat cheese dip, you’ll be in paradise. For maximal surface area to fill up on cheese, I favor twists.
  • Fruit: For a salty-sweet contrast, slice apples, pears, or grapes with this creamy goat cheese dip.
