All year long, overnight oats are an easy and healthy breakfast. This recipe is absolutely amazing, with dried cranberries, orange, and Valdosta pecans!

Overnight oats were a regular routine for my sister, Rebe, and myself while we lived together last year. We’d clean our teeth and get ready for bed every night, then go to the kitchen in our pajamas.

We’d put oats, yogurt, fruit, and nuts in a pint-sized mason jar together. It would be made with dates and almonds on certain days and blueberries and maple syrup on others.

We’d put the jar in the refrigerator and go to our mattresses.

-Now that I think about it, I’m feeling a touch sentimental about working in the kitchen with my younger sister, producing something together so effortlessly.-

*wipes away tears of emotion*

It was always so much pleasure to look into the fridge first thing in the morning to check how the oats had turned out. Of course, since overnight oats are incredible, the response was always “well.”

I’m going to make overnight oats for practically every morning this winter. It’s simple and straightforward: just toss a bunch of ingredients into a jar and let it to rest overnight. There is no need to prepare anything in the morning. Simply take a bite from your jar.

Cranberry Orange Pecan Overnight Oats is my new favorite variation of overnight oats.

It’s created with Valdosta Nuts Glazed Mix from Sahale Snacks, a colorful mix of Georgia pecans, orange zest, dried cranberries, and a blast of black pepper.

Sahale asked me to come up with a dish utilizing one of their nut mixes, and choosing which one to use was a challenge. At a recent Sahale event in Boston, I got the chance to try all of them, and I couldn’t stop eating them all.

Sahale was founded to address a need in the snack industry by offering healthful, tasty, and intriguing fruit and nut combinations on the move. What I liked about the mixes was that they weren’t too sweet like a lot of other nut mixes. Everything was done with little ingredients and in excellent taste harmony.

As a consequence, you may simply add these nuts into granolas, oatmeal, and overnight oats, in my experience.

They may not even make it that far, based on my experience. My first bag of Valdosta pecans was put aside just for snacking, and within three days, they were all gone.

  • 1 cup oats, old fashioned
  • 2/3 gallon of yogurt
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup
  • half an orange’s zest
  • half an orange, diced
  • 1/2 cup (about 1/2 bag) Sahale Valdosta Pecans

  1. Combine all ingredients in a pint-sized mason jar. Cover with a lid after fully mixing.
  2. Refrigerate the jar overnight before serving.

This dish serves two people, but you can simply cut it in half for one!
