  • 12 cup sugar, granulated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line the bottom of a tube pan with parchment paper, then butter the sides. Remove from the equation.
  2. In a large mixing basin, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Combine the eggs and vanilla essence in a mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate basin, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly fold in the flour mixture and low-fat sour cream into the wet ingredients, alternating until everything is incorporated.
  4. To prepare the streusel, in a food processor, combine the walnuts, cinnamon, flour, salt, and sugar and pulse until the walnuts are evenly chopped. Pulse in the butter until it is well distributed.
  5. In a separate dish, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon to produce the brown sugar swirl mixture. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and put aside.
  6. Half of the batter should be poured into the tube pan, followed by the brown sugar mixture. Pour in the remaining batter, then sprinkle the streusel over top. Squeeze the streusel between your hands until it’s as thick as wet sand, then sprinkle it over the batter. Allow to cool somewhat before removing from pan after baking for 50 minutes!
