Since then, I’ve been thinking about it… These likes don’t seem to exist on the internet for some reason. I mean, there are recipes, but I’m not sure how this isn’t a major issue. It’s a piece of cake. A one-bowl miracle.

As a result, I decided to create my own recipe. These cookies hold their crispness for days because to a high carbohydrate to fat ratio. They’re quite addictive. I even added a little more sea salt to mine to satisfy that sugar/salt combination that I like.

Ingredients

  • To make the brittle, combine the following ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • 2 cups flour (all-purpose)
  • 1 cup sugar (granulated)
  • 2 unsalted butter sticks, melted
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (pure)
  • 2 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a mixing dish and whisk until fully blended and homogeneous.
  3. Grease a cookie sheet pan, then press the dough into it until it’s about 1/2 inch thick (it’s acceptable if it touches the edges). It’s acceptable if it doesn’t touch the sides). Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown throughout and slightly deeper brown around the edges, but not overdone!
