Bourbon Bacon Burger

The bacon burger is one of the best burgers you’ll ever eat. It’s a step up from other beef-based burgers, and that extra flavor comes from somewhere else: bourbon whiskey!

The “bourbon bacon burger denny’s” is a dish that has been around for a while. It is made up of bourbon, bacon, and onions. It is served with fries and a side of cheese sauce.

Creating this recipe for bacon BBQ burgers

Guys, I’m almost ready to turn this blog into a delectable blog. Recently, I’ve been LOVING photographing savory foods! Take, for example, this mouthwatering Bourbon Bacon BBQ Burger. As in, a bourbon burger with barbecue sauce and whiskey roasted bacon. Yeah, that’s right.

However, I can’t claim full credit for this work. Stonewall Kitchen’s Boozy Bacon BBQ Sauce takes home the award without a doubt. It’s a dream come true. Stonewall Kitchen is a New England business that has been a part of my life since the beginning of time. My family used to buy blueberry jam from the grocery store when I was a kid. My mother and I would ogle their goods on holidays to Maine, sampling each one and hoping we could have them all. And their Farmhouse Pancake & Waffle Mix has graced the shelves of my cupboard on occasion (like I actually just got a waffle maker and don’t want to prepare my own recipe since theirs is so amazing).

Stonewall is known for producing high-quality niche goods. Their goods vary from delectable oils to savory pastas, however they’re arguably best known for their jams.

And there’s also boozy bacon BBQ sauce. So there you have it.

Stonewall offers a chosen collection of Company Classics that are likely to impress people who aren’t acquainted with the brand (I can vouch for almost every jam). Also available are Wild Maine Blueberry Champagne Jam and Lemon Drop Mixer, both of which are fantastic new items. Yessss!

Stonewall is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. They’re doing a fantastic giveaway to commemorate the occasion. What is the prize? Two acrylic stemless wine glasses, a teak wood spreader, a cutting board, a jar of delectable Mango Chutney, Simple White Down East Crackers, a 6′ x 6′ picnic blanket, and a completely insulated Corksicle wine canteen are all included in this limited edition bag from Sea Bags.

And through August, they’ll be giving away two bags each week! As a result, you have a chance to win one for yourself and one for your hunny.

As a New Englander, I am passionate about promoting New England businesses. I’m thrilled to be working with Stonewall, and I hope you’ll give them a look.

Bacon BBQ burgers: How to Make Them

Use thick-cut bacon – Because you’ll be coating the bacon in bourbon and sugar before baking it, you’ll need bacon that’s thick enough to handle it.

Make the patties thin – To prepare it simpler to layer the pickles, lettuce, and bourbon bacon on top of your BBQ bacon burger, make thinner patties. I also create a tiny divot in the uncooked patties with my thumb to prevent the burger from ballooning up on the grill. It seems strange, but it really works!

The burgers should be fully cooked — I know it’s typical to grill burgers until they’re just just medium or medium well done, but these patties remain incredibly moist thanks to the shredded onion. So go ahead and finish cooking the burgers. They won’t dry out, so don’t be concerned.

Toast the buns – It may seem like a little step, but toasting the buns on the grill for a few seconds transforms the taste of this BBQ burger. Not to mention that toasting the buns makes them more firm, allowing you to pile on extra Boozy Bacon Barbecue Sauce.

Alex was meant to be a taste tester for this bacon BBQ burger, but he ate the whole burger before supper. We enjoyed them so much that I’m planning on cooking them again this weekend.

Loves, have fun. And good luck with the giveaway!

For the bacon with bourbon

  • 12 thick-cut smoked bacon strips
  • bourbon (2 tblsp.)
  • 2 tblsp brown sugar (mild)
  • a pinch of salt

To create the burgers, combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  • 1 pound beef mince (anywhere from 80 percent to 90 percent lean)
  • 1/3 medium onion, grated (use a cheese grater to shred the onion!)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 TBS Boozed-Up Bacon Barbecue Sauce
  • bourbon (2 tblsp.)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
  • a half teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, ground

condiments for burgers

To prepare the bourbon bacon, combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Aluminum foil should be used to line a big baking sheet.
  2. Combine the bourbon, light brown sugar, and salt in a medium mixing basin. Toss the bacon into the mixture (there won’t be much, just enough to cover the bacon completely).
  3. Lay bacon pieces flat on aluminum foil. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the bacon strips for 25 minutes, turning halfway through. Remove from pan and put aside after allowing it cool somewhat.

To make the burgers

  1. Preheat the grill to a medium-high setting.
  2. Incorporate all ingredients in a large mixing basin and stir to combine. Add a few tablespoons of panko to soak up any excess liquid if the mixture is too moist. This is solely dependent on the moisture content of your meat. Don’t be concerned if it seems to be excellent!
  3. 3 oz. beef balls, rolled out and patted into thin patties Each patty should be cooked for about 3 minutes on each side. Because they’re thin, this quantity should enough, but you want the burger to be totally cooked on the inside (because they’re so wet, it’s OK if you fully cook them). Place on a serving dish until you’re ready to put everything together.

Assemble the hamburgers

  1. To make the burgers, toast the burger buns and spread 1 tablespoon of the Boozy Bacon Barbecue Sauce on the bottom bun. Burger, cheese, pickles, red onion, and everything else you want on top!
