If you’re so inclined, there’s an interesting debate happening right now in the world of food. There are those who argue that we should be eating less meat and more vegetables, while others believe veganism goes against God’s will for our bodies. If this sounds like a discussion worth having at your next dinner party, it is!
The “positive things happening in the world right now 2021” is a blog post that discusses what’s happening in the world today.
Friends, hello there. I hope you are well and adapting to this strange moment when you get this communication. Sofi and I are thinking about you and your family and giving you our best wishes.
This week has been a strange experience. People have been confined, food store shelves are bare, and we have no clue what will happen next week, or even tomorrow.
Here’s a gentle reminder to breathe through all of the fear and dread. It’s terrifying. We’ll go through it together, however.
Many of us who are well and able will be at home more in the coming weeks, seeking for ways to keep ourselves engaged and amused. So, given the present global atmosphere, I asked on Instagram stories this weekend how I might best serve you going forward.
I moved from guessing what we should do to having a much better grasp of how we can go ahead with your requirements in mind thanks to your replies.
The following are the most typical reactions I encountered:
-Tilly/cat content -Cooking and baking recipes from the pantry -Petrie (see my Instagram story highlight if you don’t know what this is) -Recipe roundups -Normal life distractions -Photography ideas & methods to learn while remaining at home
So that is precisely what we will do. Sofi and I are currently working on a number of recipe roundups (the first of which will be published today! ), which will include our favorite cooking and baking dishes that use just cupboard goods as well as simple at-home alternatives for different products.
In addition, my Foodtography School team and I have agreed to make available—for free—every live masterclass we’ve ever given, providing some entertaining educational stuff to keep you occupied if you’re stuck at home. You can find them all right here.
We’re also pledging to donate 50% of all Foodtography School profits to Feeding America and the work they’re doing to help high-risk families who rely on school meals to feed their children this week. More information on Feeding America may be found here. If you’re seeking for additional ways to contribute at this time, Esquire has a terrific piece on how you may do so.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by everything going on around us at these times. Let us, however, take time to be grateful, share optimism, and help each other and our communities to the best of our abilities.
And, of course, we’ll continue to provide amazing recipes in the following weeks. Because we all need some sweet pick-me-ups and a little normalcy at this time3
